Siemens’ UMove is the next generation in move update systems.
Incorrect or incomplete addressed information causes mail to become undeliverable as addressed – UAA – when it enters the United States Postal Service® mailstream. UAA mail burdens the USPS® and commercial mailers alike with unnecessary postage, processing and shipping costs.
Siemens developed its UMove system as a solution to UAA mail and as a support to the USPS goal of reducing UAA mail in half by 2010. In addition, UMove is not only certified by the USPS, but it is the first inline change of address system that uses he USPS NCOALink® Product - the USPS database that contains 18 months of change-of-address information.
UMove is also compatible with legacy multi-line optical character reading (MLOCR) equipment currently running the FASTforward® service.
